| Elynna with Daddy on her first hike on the Monument |
Elynna is becoming such a big girl! I'm amazed every day with what she can do- or tries to do! And she makes me laugh when she does things over and over just because we laugh at her.
Like tonight, after a day full of toddler frustration, she was crawling over Daddy's legs while he played his games. She just crawled over his lap, back and forth. Then walked over his legs, while holding onto the table. Josh had to stop playing for a minute because she was intruding on his controller space.
When he started playing again, she basically backed into his arms and sat on his knee, nearly sitting on his hands, pushing his hands and controller up into his chest. And then she smiled really big. It was adorable!
Then during bedtime routine, I was singing to her in our rocking chair. At first she had her head on my shoulder like she normally does, then she sat up, her face close to mine, and was smiling. The first time she made some babbling noises like she was singing with me, then put her head back down. The second time she made the "mmmm" sound like she wanted to give kisses, so we gave kisses. She did this several times. She obviously didn't want to go to sleep and was stalling. And, well, it was working, because I didn't want to stop singing with her and giving kisses.
What a lovely end to a day with my daughter.
Oh, can you believe it? She'll be 1 next week!

I love these tidbits! What beautiful stories that will become such beautiful memories! Thanks for posting!
