I have not been feeling well this week.
Thankfully Monday was a holiday for me and I got a day off, but work yesterday was rather stressful and I worked late. Was on my feet most of the day, except during a couple meetings. Didn't have much time to eat either.
I had been feeling uncomfortable pressure in my lower regions throughout most of the day. By the time I got home and those feelings were worse; I was very worried. I called the midwives, and they asked if I was having contractions. I hadn't been paying attention and also wasn't sure exactly what they felt like yet. She said I needed two glasses of water, a hot bath, and just to relax. If the contractions didn't stop or were more than four an hour, I had to call back and go to the hospital.
I did what she recommended and started noticing the contractions I was having. Had two within an hour :( One more a half hour later, and then didn't notice anymore after that.
I just pushed myself so hard yesterday and felt so much pressure at work. I'm going to start working a few less hours a week and relax when I can! Managing a group of 15 ladies is tough work, especially when they expect so much of you.
Today was better, but still not up to par.
Pray for Josh and I as we enter the last trimester and the final stretch!
Just take it easy, Ash! It gets harder and harder near the end but knowing that it's best for the baby and you helps. And don't get worried... I know Amanda had contractions really early and they were able to stop them somehow and she was fine... It's definitely amazing how far advanced our medical profession is! I'll be praying for you, though!
ReplyDeleteHave you read about Braxton Hicks contractions. In the 3rd trimester their common..I encourage you to read about them..they probably will continue until you deliver. You both are in my prayers
